Graduate Education & Outreach
Graduate students interested in research at Biosphere 2 should explore the information available under the RESEARCH tab. Graduate students, post-doctoral researchers, and other science faculty and staff are the backbone of our authentic education and outreach programs and provide countless hours of expertise and content delivery each year.
In addition to cutting-edge research, Biosphere 2 has a robust education, outreach, and professional development program focused primarily on STEM fields. We consistently partner with local educators, education specialists, and student groups to enhance education outcomes and expand the public visitor experience. If you are a graduate student in the sciences, education, or other fields with ideas and skills to contribute, please contact us.
One consistent opportunity for graduate students is the Biosphere 2 Outreach Scholars program which provides an intensive science mentoring opportunity with middle and high school students from around the world. Please see the Outreach Scholar program description for upcoming opportunities, dates, and deadlines.
In partnership with the UA Institute of the Environment, Biosphere 2 participates in the Carson Scholars Program for UA graduate students.
