My research interests include soil physics, hillslope and headwater catchment hydrology, stable-isotope applications in hydrology, and linkages between hydrological and ecosystem processes (e.g. energy cycling and NPP).  I have worked as a post-doc at LEO since August of 2013.  My research at LEO has focused on stable-isotope tracer experiments aimed at improving our understanding of the dynamic residence times of water molecules in the subsurface.  I am interested in understanding how dispersive mixing of water at pore, pedon, and hillslope scales is linked to mineral weathering and mass transport from landscapes.  These mixing processes also have implications for the possible phyto-availability of soil water and, ultimately, the overall terrestrial water balance.
