My past experience is in coral reproduction, larval dispersal, population dynamics, and coral husbandry. I plan to use this knowledge to investigate coral- symbiont interactions under climate change, such as the trade-offs in the host symbiont relationship and potential transgenerational effects, and to test novel ideas for coral reef preservation and restoration. I am excited not only for the experimental and scientific opportunities that the Biosphere 2 Ocean uniquely provides, but the outreach opportunities as well.
